What is the Global Risk & Intelligence Newsletter?
Global Risk & Intelligence is a publication and community for everyone who:
Desires to stay informed about geopolitics, national security, corporate risks, and other risks that can directly affect us on personal level.
Values non-partisan, engaging, analysis of current and potential events.
Who is K. Campbell?
I’m an intelligence and security professional with expertise in global risk and geopolitics. I’m a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), board certified in security management by ASIS International. The CPP is considered the “gold standard” certification for security management professionals, globally recognized as the standard of excellence for security management professionals. There are about 6,000 CPPs around the world.
I’m also a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP). The CBCP, administered by DRI International, is the world's most widely recognized and held business continuity certification. Only about 1% of CBCPs also hold a CPP.
In my previous career, I was a military intelligence officer whose assignments included the Joint Staff, National Security Agency, and Defense Intelligence Agency. I led extremely sensitive intelligence and other planning efforts against Iran, North Korea, and terrorist groups. I also provided management oversight for a $55 million intelligence system, and executed its $3 million annual budget.
Virginia Tech and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) alumni.
I’ve been quoted and appeared in security and intelligence-related news articles and segments for Bloomberg Businessweek, CNET, Newsy, NTD News, U.S. News & World Report, Voice of America, the Washington Post, and a local television news station.
How will Global Risk & Intelligence help you?
Newsletters such as Global Risk & Intelligence are increasingly useful as many countries become more politically polarized; as illiberalism (basically, the waning of individual liberty) increases throughout the world; internal instability, civil wars, territorial disputes, potential conflicts, frozen conflicts, and active conflicts involving three dozen countries continue to fester; and natural disasters increase in intensity, fatalities and costs. Global Risk & Intelligence will help you:
Understand the threats, vulnerabilities, impacts, and risks that affect all of us directly and indirectly.
Better understand how the intelligence and national security “sausage” is made.
Prepare for an array of possible futures, based on my forecasts (not specific predictions).
Get ideas for salient content if you have your own newsletter.
Free Global Risk & Intelligence vs. Paid Global Risk & Intelligence
Global Risk & Intelligence publishes free posts (the same content that is in my Global Risk & Intelligence newsletter on LinkedIn and on my personal website). But if you sign up for the paid tier, you get a bunch of extra stuff:
Unique insights that will be difficult to find elsewhere;
My unique assessments and forecasts based on a methodology and technique I’ve developed over the past several years (no, I won’t disclose that methodology and technique);
Deep dives on some of my more interesting posts on other social media; and
My private club: Access my chat, start new threads, and send me email replies and direct emails.
